What a great watch! I received this as a Christmas gift and have worn it daily since. Movado watches are usually very classy, so it is no surprise that the Juro's simplistic design is both elegant, fitting in perfectly with a job situation, and practical: the watch dresses down easily when you pair it with "dressy" casual wear (think "Banana Republic dress shirt, untucked, worn over jeans") for going out. It keeps accurate time and is both thin and lightweight (for those of you who don't like watches that weigh 5 lbs). This watch looks far better in person than what the picture shows, and looks even better on your wrist!
This is a fantastic price on Amazon - most places sell for almost twice that much, and free shipping can't be beat. No sales tax is an added bonus, and the additional 5-year warranty is just cream on top. (Note: read updates from June 21, 2009 - this is no longer the case)
Update August 23, 2008: I still have this watch, and I still wear it everywhere. I've moved to Sweden since my review and this watch still gets looks everywhere I go. A lot of men like watches with fancy dials and knobs, and don't get me wrong, I'd probably pick one up too if I could afford a $3000 Tag Heuer or Omega watch... but then my watch would look like everyone else's. Sometimes simplicity is all you need, and in a country known for its clean lines and modernity, this watch works perfectly.
Its understated elegance is simply my favorite attribute about this watch.
Regarding the warranty comment from my original review - I guess Amazon is no longer offering a 5-year warranty on this watch. Be sure to contact them about warranty details since this watch is NOT covered by Movado's warranty (as it as not sold directly by an authorized Movado dealer). (Note: read updates from June 21, 2009 - this is no longer the case)
Update June 21, 2009: This watch is still going strong. I wanted to make a quick update to my original review: looks like Amazon.com is now an authorized Movado dealer! (Hooray!) Rest assured that your purchase will be covered by the official Movado warranty. Pleased at first
I ordered this watch for my boyfriend for Christmas. It came packaged perfectly and he absolutely loved it. However, in March it stopped running true to time. He keeps trying to reset it with the current time, and 12 hours later, for example, only 2 hours on the watch will have passed by! I took it to a local jewelry store which sells Tag, Rolex, etc., and they checked the battery and said it was fine, so there is something wrong with the watch. Even though it was a greatly discounted price, it was still an expensive watch that I expected to last for a long time. Hopefully I can send it in to Movado and get it repaired, but even that costs at least $75. By NLG

A pin came out of one of the links and the watch fell to the ground without my wife noticing it. luckily, after a frantic search, we were able to find it. The only thing with this purchase is that you don't have that much room with the watch. I don't like my watch hugging my wrist, I like is loose like a bracelet. This is an authentic Movado Ladies watch--beautiful, classic design. I've had it since Christmas and so far it has kept perfect time. Amazon.com had the best price online for this watch. One thing I really liked is that I didn't have to have the watch sized--it fits my wrist perfectly --slightly loose the way I like my watches to fit. The only negative I can think of is the clasp which is a little difficult to work with, especially taking it off. All in all it's a great buy for a beautiful and accurate watch.

This watch was received in good order from Amazon directly. The watch has more protective film than I have seen on any item I have ever seen. I immediately took all of the film to get a good look at my purchase which was a mistake, but I will get to that later. The watch is beautiful.
I took my watch to have it sized at an authorized Movado dealer (found on Movado.com). The person who sized my watch was used to full links and half links. This watch has large one & a half links (1.5) and half links (1/3 the size of the one & a half link). Well the person took the right amount of links out (by chance), though it was all on one side and the watch felt tight because of the way the hidden clasp is designed. Per this person when they sized watches the bottom is usually longer than the top to accommodate most watch clasps. This protocol was used throughout the many trial and error resizes until we hit a near symmetrical (both sided even) of the very first amount of links taken out. So, make sure when you resize have them keep the link removal even because the hidden clasp is symmetrical.
After I got my newly resized watch I noticed small scratches on the bracelet. They were pretty much superficial, though even with Amazon's bargain price this is still an expensive watch. If I had kept the protective film on I bet this would not have happened.
I've had this watch for about a month and wear it every day. It gets scratches mainly on the small highly polished squared on the bracelet because I have it on when I play with my kids, go shopping in the home improvement store, and other watch scratching activities. There is also one small scratch on the brushed area and no scratches on the crystal (the crystal should never get any damage unless you are rubbing it against sapphire or diamond). I wipe the watch down with a jeweler's cloth before I go out and it looks near flawless from two feet away.
